I'm having trouble with my Windows 11 laptop not turning off when I close the lid, despite the power options stating it should. I've already checked these settings, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any ideas or solutions?

If all else fails, you can always force a shutdown by holding down the power button. This usually works, but you might want to look into any apps that could be interfering with the shutdown process. Consider uninstalling or ending tasks for recently added programs if the issue persists.
Check the two different sets of options in your Power Settings: one for when your laptop is plugged in, and another for when it's on battery. Make sure both are set to shut down when the lid is closed. If they are, there might be an issue with the lid sensor itself.
Honestly, if it's not working correctly, you might just want to keep powering it off manually for now. It could be a sensor issue, and I'm not sure if that's an easy fix. Have you thought about resetting Windows or switching back to an older version like Windows 10?
