I've got a Motorola G54, and it was working fine connecting to my computer (Windows 10) until about a week ago. Now, whenever I plug it in, it only charges and doesn't give me the option to choose between Charging, Photo Transfer, or File Transfer. The cable and computer I'm using detect other phones without issues. I even tried connecting it to a different computer (Windows 11), but I still get an error stating: 'The last device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it.' The Device Manager shows 'Device Descriptor Request Failed.' I've already tried various troubleshooting steps, including using different cables, registry edits, downloading the latest Motorola and ADB drivers (only to be told I have the best ones), adjusting Power Options in Control Panel, force-restarting the phone, and more. Nothing has worked so far. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

From my experience, it can sometimes take multiple tries to get things working with different cables. I'd recommend trying an official replacement cable for your Motorola or something reliable like Anker. Sometimes, those third-party cables can be a hassle. Also, don't forget to unplug and replug the cable a few times—sometimes you have to push it in with a bit more force than usual! And make sure your phone is unlocked when you connect it.
Have you checked if USB Debugging is enabled on your phone? If it is, try disabling it and then give the option to revoke all authorized computers a shot. If that doesn't work, consider doing a factory reset on the phone before trying a different USB port since it charges without an issue.
Hey, I get where you're coming from! I've already tried four different cables, and they work fine with other phones, just not mine. But I’ll look into getting an official one to see if that solves the problem.
