I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with my HP laptop that just won't connect to the internet in one specific room, even though all my other devices work perfectly fine there. We've set up network extenders since my main PC needed them. The laptop connects to the Wi-Fi, but it can't access the internet. I've gone through various troubleshooting steps like checking the drivers, changing DNS settings, and toggling between 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands, but nothing seems to help. I've double-checked in other rooms, and it works without any problems. I'm starting to suspect there might be something wrong specifically with the laptop. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

It seems like your laptop is connecting to the network, but the issue might be with the connection to the router via the extender. Check if the laptop is linking to the same extender as your other devices or if it's going straight to the main router. Sometimes, older wifi protocols can create compatibility issues too. You might want to move the laptop closer to the main router and toggle airplane mode on and off to see if it connects properly. If it works, then it's likely not a driver issue.

Sounds like a solid plan! I had a similar issue and moving closer to the router helped pinpoint the problem.
