I recently upgraded my graphics card from a GTX 1050 to an RTX 3060, and I also bought a new motherboard and CPU since my old components were underperforming (I was seeing 100% CPU usage and only 50% GPU usage). Now I have an i3 9100F on a B365M Pro VDH motherboard with 32GB DDR4 RAM and a 500W Seasonic power supply. I purchased a used B560M DS3H motherboard and an i5 11400F CPU, but when I connect everything together—including my old HDD and SSD—the computer doesn't turn on at all. There are no fans spinning or lights showing. The previous owner mentioned that the motherboard originally had an i5 10400F installed. Do I need to do anything special since I have the 11400F? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If nothing happens when you hit the power button, it's likely a power issue or a problem with the front panel connections. Check if all cables are properly plugged in. You might also want to try shorting the power pins (check your motherboard manual for instructions) to see if that helps. If those steps don’t work, and if you have access to another power supply, try swapping that out to rule out PSU issues.
You might need a BIOS update for the motherboard to support the i5 11400F since it originally had an i5 10400F. In some cases, the motherboard may not boot until a compatible 10th gen CPU is used for the update. Maybe contact the previous owner for help or take it to a PC shop if you can. Also, if you can, test the RTX 3060 with your old setup to make sure it’s functioning properly.
