Why won’t my new PC turn on after building it?

I just finished building my new PC, but when I try to turn it on, nothing happens at all. I've already performed the paperclip test, and the PSU seems to be working fine. I suspect there might be an issue with the front panel connectors or the motherboard itself. I've checked the CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD, and they seem to be installed properly. Any advice on what might be going wrong?

It helps to describe what exactly happens when you hit the power button. Are any LED lights coming on? Try to check if the panel cables are plugged into the motherboard correctly, since that can often be an overlooked issue. If you've confirmed that the PSU works from the paperclip test but still see no lights or fan movement from the motherboard, then that might indicate a deeper problem.

First off, if your PC isn't turning on, how can you be sure that the CPU, GPU, RAM, and SSD are all fine? A good approach is to disconnect all front panel connections. Then, take a screwdriver and briefly touch the motherboard pins to see if it starts up that way. It’s kind of a last-resort method, but it can help isolate the issue.
