Why won’t my PC POST with RAM in slots 2-4?

I have a B450 Aorus Pro WiFi motherboard. From what I understand, to run RAM in dual channel mode, it should be installed in slots 2 and 4 (from left to right as you face the CPU). However, it won't POST in this configuration and the DRAM light is on, but it does POST when I use slots 1-4. Is it okay to keep using it in slots 1-4, or is there something I'm missing?

Have you tried using slots 1 and 3 instead? That could be an option for pairing the RAM. Generally, slots 2 and 4 are recommended for dual channel, but slots 1 and 3 might work too! Just a thought since it sounds like you’re not getting dual channel performance with your current setup.

I haven’t tried 1 and 3 yet. I read that this motherboard doesn’t support dual channel in that configuration, but I could be mistaken.
