Why won’t my TV detect my new PC?

I recently got a new PC and I'm using my Samsung CU8000 TV as a temporary display while I save for a monitor. Initially, it worked fine, but after I installed drivers like AMD Adrenaline and Ryzen Master, the TV stopped recognizing the PC when I rebooted. I checked the HDMI cable, which is brand new, and reinserted the RAM just in case. After turning off the PSU and unplugging everything, it miraculously worked again after about 30 minutes. However, once I installed Riot Client and it prompted me to restart, the TV again failed to detect the PC despite the PC appearing to be on. I've also changed the resolution from 4K to 1080p to match the TV. Is there a permanent solution to this issue? I'd really appreciate any advice!

Have you tried a different HDMI cable? Sometimes new cables can still have issues. If you have access, borrow one or consider picking up a different one when you can.

I just bought the cable and it's the only one I have at the moment, but I’ll plan to get another one soon. Any HDMI cable will work, right?

First, make sure your HDMI cable is plugged into the main HDMI port on the back of the PC, not on the motherboard. Since your CPU doesn’t have integrated graphics, you need to use the GPU's HDMI port.

Got it! I’ll check that and make sure it's on the GPU. Thanks!
