My boyfriend's Dynex TV has started acting up. When we press the power button, it sometimes makes the click sound and the red light turns on, but there's no picture on the screen. The only way we've found to deal with this is by unplugging it multiple times until we hear two clicks, which can take a frustrating 30 minutes. Sometimes just leaving it unplugged seems to help as well. This issue has gone from happening once a week to every day, and with the way things are going, I might just decide to live without a TV. Any suggestions on what's going on and how we can fix this?

You might want to try getting a smart plug. This way, you can control when your TV gets power and when it doesn't. It might help you turn it off completely when you're not using it, making it easier to manage the power issues.
So we can just keep it off until we actually want to use it?
