I'm in a bit of a situation! My desktop PC broke down in 2024, and since then, I've been stuck using my Huawei MateBook 14s with integrated graphics. A good friend of mine built a second PC for couch gaming but mainly uses his main desktop. Now, he's offering to sell me the new one at his purchase cost, ignoring current RAM prices as a kind of 'discount.'
Here's what I'm looking at:
**Specs of the PC:**
- AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Gigabyte RTX 5070
- 64GB G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 RAM
- Plus all the other parts all bought in 2025 for a total of €2,050 (about $2,410 USD).
The PC is fully built but has never been used. Most parts are still under warranty, but some warranties may be running out soon.
I would be using this setup for gaming, work, and even some hobby AI projects. Personally, I would have opted for a smaller CPU, 32GB of RAM, and a cheaper cooler instead of liquid cooling, which I estimate would save around €150.
So, do you think the price of €2,050 is a fair deal for this unused setup?

Absolutely a good deal! Even without factoring in the RAM, the price is pretty fair for a machine with those specs. Grab it before someone else does!
He’s a real friend for selling it to you at cost. The specs are great and you’re saving the hassle of assembling it. Overall, it sounds like a fabulous deal!
That RAM alone is worth about €700-€800, so yes, this is a solid deal! If you buy it, you'd likely come out ahead, especially considering some parts still have warranty.

What about the PSU? Is it going to handle heavy gaming? Asking as I’ve heard mixed reviews on that brand.
