Will Installing Linux Mint on a New Partition Wipe Other Data?

I recently created a new partition on my disk that has about 94GB of free space. If I choose this partition for installing Linux Mint, will it only affect that partition, or will it also wipe out the data from other partitions on my disk? I want to ensure that my other files remain untouched during this process.

Yes, if you install Linux Mint on that new partition, it should only wipe that partition and leave the data on your other partitions intact. However, it's always good to double-check what operating system is on your other disk since that could affect things later on.

I don’t have any OS on that disk—just a second drive with data. It’s all safe, right?
