I've built a gaming PC that I last upgraded about 1-2 years ago. It's equipped with a Ryzen 5 5600x, an RTX 3060 Ti, and 32 GB of RAM. I mainly play games at 1440p resolution, and I'm curious if my current setup will be able to maintain 60 FPS or better in 2026 and possibly even in 2027. What do you think?

Honestly, in AAA titles, you might need to lower your settings to low or medium, and turning on DLSS would help a lot. If you're okay with that trade-off, you're still good to go with your current rig!
Yeah, your setup is still quite capable, but keep in mind that the 3060 Ti might struggle a bit with newer games at 1440p. If performance dips, you might want to upgrade to something like a 5070 or 9070 to stay ahead.
It really depends on the games and their demands. If new titles keep pushing graphics like they have been, consider upgrading to a GPU with at least 12 GB of VRAM, like the 9060 XT 16 GB. A decent upgrade could run you between $400 and $500. And if you’re into CPU-heavy games, upgrading to something like a Ryzen 7 (5700x, 5800x, or their X3D versions) might offer you better performance.

I have a similar setup with a Ryzen 7 5700x, and I’m able to play 1440p at medium-high settings with DLSS performance on all the time!
