Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU and I'm eyeing the Nvidia 5060. I have an AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU, and I'm curious if it will bottleneck the 5060. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Yeah, every PC has bottlenecks to some extent. Have you noticed if your current setup is limiting your performance? If you’re buying a new GPU, it might be worth getting one with more than 8GB of VRAM for better performance down the line.

You could check out a bottleneck calculator to gauge your setup. Just keep in mind that some tools can be pretty hit or miss with their accuracy, so take it with a grain of salt!

I wouldn't trust that tool too much. I've heard it's not very reliable.

In most CPU-heavy situations, there might be a bit of a bottleneck, but it shouldn’t be significant. The 5060 should work alright with your Ryzen 7 3800XT. If you find a good deal on a Ryzen 5000 series chip, like the 5800XT, you might see better performance, but it won't drastically change things. Honestly, it might be better to save up for bigger upgrades in the future!
