Will PC Building Get Any Easier or Cheaper Soon?

I'm really eager to build my own PC, something I've wanted to do since last year. However, I've been held back due to costs and the current market situation, especially since the tariffs have jacked up prices significantly. For instance, I was eyeing an RX 6800 that was $360 last year, but now it's around $500! My other option was the RX 6750 XT, but it's out of stock everywhere. My family is also wary of buying used parts due to potential scams, so I'm hoping to find new components. Do you think it will become easier or more affordable to get these parts soon? Any advice or insights would be appreciated!

Honestly, I don't see prices going down anytime soon. With the current tariffs, parts from China are super expensive—like 125% markup or more! If you're looking for alternatives, maybe check out places like Micro Center or look for open box deals on Amazon or Best Buy, but don’t expect prices to drop in the near future.

I’ve got a barely used Red Devil 6700 XT available if you're interested. It's in my girlfriend's build right now, and she doesn't game often. I could let it go for about $400, plus I have a Lian Li Lancool 2 case and some extra parts I could sell cheap. You could probably get the entire build for under $700 if you're willing to deal.

The used market can actually be a solid option if you're willing to look—it can save you a ton! Just make sure to ask for proof that everything works before handing over your cash.

You should keep an eye out for the new 9060 XT 16GB cards coming out soon! If you grab one at launch, it might be priced around $300-$350, which would be a decent deal compared to other options. Just a heads up, though, I think it might be a bit slower than the 7800 XT.

Oh wow, a new card for that price sounds amazing! I didn't think it would be that low—most new releases seem to be $500-$600!
