Hey everyone! I'm a first-year IT student from the Philippines, and I just got a new 14" HP laptop equipped with 16GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 128GB of eMMC storage, and the new 13th Gen Intel N150. I'm a bit worried about whether this setup will manage my daily tasks like using VS Code, Microsoft Teams, the Office 365 suite, and playing games like Roblox and Minecraft. Specifically, I'm using VS Code for Java coding, and I'm curious if the N150 can keep up with older i5s for these tasks.

The CPU itself should be fine for general use, but as others mentioned, storage is where you might run into issues. If you can, consider getting some external storage, as I doubt the laptop has many PCIe slots available.

You should be okay for general tasks, but again, that eMMC storage is a bit of a problem. It’s pretty slow and generally repurposed from older technologies. You might want to keep some lighter usage in mind.

You'll be able to play games like Roblox and Minecraft, but multitasking might be a struggle since the N150 only has four cores. Code compilation in VS Code could be noticeably slower compared to laptops with more powerful CPUs, like those with a Ryzen 5600U or H.

Most modern quad-core CPUs, like the N150, can handle everyday tasks. However, I would suggest keeping an eye on the eMMC storage situation. It's not really ideal for running an OS and will likely slow things down.

The N150 is actually comparable to a desktop 6th gen i5, so it should handle your daily tasks decently. Just be cautious with the eMMC storage; that might be the main bottleneck for performance. It’s pretty slow compared to traditional SSDs, which will affect your overall experience.
