I found a great deal on a 48 GB DDR5 RAM kit, specifically the Corsair Dominator Platinum rated at 7200 MT/s with timings of 36-46-46-116. However, the seller mentioned it's too fast for his build. My setup includes a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and a 9070 XT on an NZXT N9 X870E motherboard. How can I determine if this RAM will work with my configuration?

What's the asking price for it?
Honestly, I’d skip it. The CAS Latency (CL) is a bit high for that speed, which can be a downside for gaming performance. Plus, AMD’s integrated memory controller might struggle to run it at its advertised speed. I'd recommend looking for a 6000 MT/s CL30 kit instead, as it would be more reliable for your build.
But think about it. The CL at 7200 is high, but you'll likely have lower CL at 6000. If it’s priced well and you’re okay with tweaking settings manually instead of using XMP/EXPO, it might not be a bad deal.
Thanks a bunch!
If you're up for some manual overclocking, you might be fine. That 7200 CL36 could potentially be adjusted down to something like 6000 CL30 or even lower with the right tweaks.
This RAM should technically work with any DDR5 UDIMM slot. It defaults to DDR5-4800, but you can enable XMP to get it running at 7200. The CL timing being high isn't a big issue unless you’re planning on gaming. For Ryzen 7000 series, DDR5-6000 usually gives better overall performance due to better synchronization with the CPU's speeds. If needed, I can help you with the BIOS settings to overclock it to something closer to 6000 with good timings.
So, the kit isn't bad at all. Worst case, you just need to adjust some settings in BIOS. If it's cheaper than other 6000 CL30 kits, I'd say go for it!

It's only $150, while everywhere else it’s around $300.
