Will Upgrading RAM Help Reduce FPS Stuttering in Games?

I'm considering upgrading the RAM in my HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dh1xxx from 4GB to 12GB. Currently, I have a Core i3 10110U processor and an NVIDIA GeForce MX130 graphics card. While I sometimes get frame rates as high as 60-70 FPS, I've been experiencing frequent drops to 0 FPS, making gaming difficult. I'm looking for advice on whether increasing my RAM will help alleviate this stuttering issue.

Just boosting to 12GB will help, but it might not be a complete fix. Four gigabytes can seriously bottleneck even basic tasks, especially with something like Windows. If you're gaming, what's your FPS like during those big moments? A higher RAM will definitely improve things, but if you're bumping up against intensive games, it won't be a miracle fix for those stutters.

Upgrading your RAM is probably a good call! It won’t hurt your performance, but I suggest considering going for 16GB if possible. Also, what operating system are you using?

I was playing Valorant, and it was a total mess—the FPS stuttering was insane! I'm not really looking for more FPS, just better stability around 50-60 FPS. Sometimes even in the lobby, it's lagging hard. What do you think, will the RAM upgrade help a bit with that?
