What’s the Best USB-C to Headphone Jack Adapter That Won’t Break?

I'm really frustrated because I've already gone through four USB-C to headphone jack adapters. They all seem to break after about a month, and I've tried several brands, even the official Samsung one and others like OnePlus and Hama. I take good care of them; I mostly use them at my desk or on the bus without moving around much. The thing is, I really don't want to switch to Bluetooth because I have some high-quality studio headphones with sound suppression, which I rely on a lot. So, I'm looking for a durable, quality adapter, and I'm willing to pay for something that will actually last. Any recommendations?

Another option is to just get a phone that still has a headphone jack! I found some models released this year that fit your specs. Also, you could consider getting a dedicated audio device like an MP3 player or a small tablet.

You might want to look for a DAC made from quality materials. It'll give you better sound quality too! I use one from DDHiFi and it’s incredibly durable. It hasn’t let me down in over 2 years.

Just a quick thought: you can find really cheap DACs for under $10, even around $5 on sites like AliExpress. I have one that works great, plug-and-play with most devices. But just a heads up, the waiting time for shipping can be long.

But, isn't that advice just to buy something else that might break again soon? It's not really solving the issue of durability you're facing. What you need is something reliable. Plus, shipping can take forever from those sites.

I totally understand your frustration! A lot of USB-C to headphone jack adapters are poorly made. I recommend checking out the ddHiFi TC35 Pro Eye or the Cayin RU6. They’re built really tough and come with high-end DACs, ensuring they won’t fail easily. They range from €50 to €150, but considering your needs, it sounds like a solid investment for you and your headphones.
