I'm currently researching Document Management Systems and I just found out that AWS WorkDocs was officially retired on April 25, which means there's no longer any support for it. Does AWS have a new Document Management System solution, or has it been rebranded into something else?

AWS doesn't offer a fully managed Document Management System anymore. However, you can create your own using various AWS services. For example, Liberty Mutual built a scalable solution using AWS resources. You can check their blog for insights on how they did it!

If you're looking for alternatives, you might want to check out Alfresco available on the AWS Marketplace. I’ve heard some good things about it!

Thanks for this! I used Alfresco a few years back.

Nope, WorkDocs was really underwhelming and didn't catch on. It ended mainly because users found it clunky compared to other options like OneDrive and Dropbox, which are much more user-friendly.
