Thinking of Upgrading My Prebuilt PC – Any Suggestions?

I bought a prebuilt PC from BestBuy back in 2021, but I feel like it's time for an upgrade. I'm looking to keep my GPU (AMD 6700XT) and have a budget of $800 to $1000. Here's the breakdown of my current setup:

- GPU: AMD 6700XT
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB (16x2) 3600MHz
- MOBO: AsRock B550AM Gaming
- Power Supply: 800W (brand unknown)
- Storage: 1TB (never had issues with memory)

However, I'm starting to struggle with new games on ultra settings, and I'm hoping to get some good recommendations for upgrades!

It's really important to consider the types of games you play. Competitive games usually benefit more from a good CPU, while AAA games are more reliant on the GPU. I'd suggest looking into the Ryzen 7 5700X or 5800X3D for CPUs. The 5700X is often a better deal, but can be tricky to find at a decent price. Don't worry about upgrading your GPU just yet; the 6700XT is still solid for 1440p gaming. If you're set on an upgrade, a 9070, 9070XT, or 5070Ti might be worth considering if you can find them near MSRP.

I'm mainly into FPS games like Delta Force, and I'm eyeing some CPU bundles from Best Buy. They've got options like the Ryzen 7 9700X with a Rog Strix X870 ATX DDR5, but that means I'd have to upgrade my RAM too. I plan to check PCPartpicker for compatibility!
