I've got a Hisense 52-inch TV, and I'm struggling with the sound settings. The explosions and action scenes are way too loud, and they keep waking up my child. I've messed around with the settings a lot, but it's still the same annoying problem. Here's what I can adjust:
- Equalizer: 120 Hz, 500 Hz, 1500 Hz, 5000 Hz, 10000 Hz
- Sound Styles: User, Standard, Vivid, Sports, Movie, Music, News
- Balance
- Surround Sound Options
- Speakers (TV or external)
- Digital Output
- SPDIF Delay
- Auto Volume Control
I'm really hoping to find a solution so I can enjoy movie time without having to deal with constant complaints about the volume. Any suggestions?

Hisense TVs are known for having mediocre speaker quality. It might help to experiment with those settings while watching a known good reference scene to see what works best for you. If possible, getting a soundbar or some external speakers could really improve your experience without disturbing the neighbors or waking the kids!
Are there soundbars or TVs that can connect to Bluetooth headphones? I'm considering that option.
If you're mainly using Netflix or other streaming platforms, check your audio settings. Sometimes they default to a 5.1 surround output, which can make dialogue hard to hear. Switching to the 'original' audio track can really help with clarity and let you turn the overall volume down.
Consider hooking up a home theater system with decent speakers. If you can get one that has an auto calibration feature, it can adjust to the room's acoustics and provide a better sound experience overall. Plus, a good system can handle syncing issues and improve overall audio quality.
Can I adjust the settings better with external speakers? It seems absurd to have to buy a soundbar just to keep the volume manageable.
