Why isn’t my burnt CD working on my player?

Hey everyone! I'm venturing into the world of burning CDs for the first time. I created a cue file and successfully burnt it onto the disc. It plays perfectly fine on my laptop, but my CD player (Technics SL-PG590) isn't recognizing it and just shows 'no disc.' Am I making a mistake here, or is my CD player possibly broken? Appreciate the help! 🙂

Just a heads up, DVD and CD players might not read cues directly since it’s a packed file format. You’ll need to unpack the cue file using an extractor app and burn the individual tracks to your CD instead.

It's also important to know whether you're trying to burn audio or video. Make sure your burning software has an option specifically for creating audio CDs! You might need to add your music files in WAV format to make it work with standard players.

Considering your CD player is quite old, it might not be compatible with the type of disc you burnt. Some online sources mention it can't read CD-RW discs, so that's worth looking into.

Many CD players can't read burnt disks, and if they can, they often only support CD-R discs rather than CD-RW. You might want to check which type of disc you used!

Ohhhh, that makes sense! Thanks a lot! 😀

What you actually need to do is burn the CD with the individual tracks rather than just the cue file. Using software that allows you to create an audio CD and adding the WAV files should do the trick!
