Will a Gen 5 SSD Heatsink Fit in My Build?

I'm wondering if there's enough clearance in my setup for a Gen 5 SSD heatsink. I have an x870e carbon motherboard with a A720 CPU cooler and I'm considering using a 7900XTX or possibly a 5080 later on. It's tricky to find specific measurements between the motherboard components, especially the space between the CPU socket and the GPU slot. If anyone has a similar build, I'd really appreciate your input on whether I can fit an SSD heatsink or not!

Many motherboards nowadays come with integrated SSD heatsinks, so you might not need anything extra. It’s worth checking if yours has that feature!

Why not just use the heatsink on the motherboard? Your motherboard is quite high-end and should have a decent heatsink for the SSD already.

Yeah, I heard Gen 5 SSDs can run hot. I saw JayzTwoCents test a thermal take cooler that performed way better than stock options.

That's a good point, but I’m a bit concerned about thermal performance. I want to make sure I don't run into issues with heat.
