Is Parallax Scrolling Effective on Mobile Devices?

I've built a website using Bootstrap Studio, which lets me work visually and with code. I enlisted the help of ChatGPT for some HTML and CSS since I'm not a coding expert. The parallax scrolling feature looks great on desktop, but it seems to be a no-show on mobile. I've come across differing opinions about this. Some suggest that mobile parallax scrolling is possible but not advisable because it may not work on all devices. I'm looking for insights from anyone with professional experience in web design regarding this issue.

In almost all cases, parallax scrolling just doesn’t translate well on mobile. It’s often better to stick with simpler effects.

You can definitely implement parallax scrolling on mobile devices! Modern mobile browsers support a lot of features that make it work, and with a little bit of JavaScript around the scrolling effect, it’s attainable. I get that you're using a drag-and-drop editor, so maybe it feels out of reach now, but it's doable if you learn the basics. That said, I think it mostly depends on how you use it—most designs that try parallax scrolling usually miss the mark and end up looking tacky.

Why go for parallax scrolling when it can potentially frustrate your users? Think about the mobile experience!

Yeah, it can work on mobile! But honestly, it was more of a trend about a decade ago. Nowadays, it’s kind of rare to see it done right.

Nope, just stick to straightforward scrolling.
