Hey everyone! I've been diving into AWS for a while now, specifically taking a Udemy course called "Ultimate AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate 2025" by Stephane Maarek. Although it started off enjoyable, I'm now feeling completely overwhelmed. The course covers various topics like databases and serverless architectures through extensive PowerPoint presentations, which initially made sense, but now it's just too much!
I'm halfway through and realize that my studying approach isn't effective; it's hard to keep track of so many services that overlap, like figuring out when to use different databases or whether to include a load balancer since every service seems to have its own cluster. Plus, services like S3 come with so many subtypes that it's hard to pin down their specific uses. I'm really struggling to make sense of it all despite taking notes and watching additional videos. Anyone else feel this way, and how did you tackle it?

Keep pushing through! It’s common to feel overwhelmed at this stage. Think of it as part of the learning process: you start off understanding the basics, and then the complexity hits hard. I switched to a better note-taking method, which is a relief, but services like DynamoDB and Aurora still confuse me. I get the basics, like S3 for large files and EBS as a physical server's USB, but I’m not clear on why we need all these options. It’s tough but I’ll figure it out!
