I've been having a really frustrating issue with my microphone. It seems to be picking up audio from my desktop, and I can't figure out if the mic is broken or if there's some technical problem I'm just not grasping. It's driving me a bit insane!

It sounds like it might not be a broken mic after all. Sometimes, Windows can accidentally route your speaker audio back into the mic. Here’s a quick fix: Right-click the speaker icon, go to Sound settings, then scroll down to More sound settings. In the Recording tab, find your mic, right-click on it, and select Properties. Be sure to uncheck 'Listen to this device' in the Listen tab. If your Microphone Boost is cranked way up in the Levels tab, lower it a bit. Also, check the Playback tab and disable 'Stereo Mix' if it's there; that often causes those ghost audio issues. If you still have problems, try unplugging the mic, rebooting, and plugging it into a different USB slot. Don’t forget to check your settings in Discord or OBS, too; make sure your mic is selected specifically, not just the default or system options.

What I actually meant is that my mic is picking up audio from my desktop. Sorry, I'm just really tired!
