Should I Choose the RTX 5070 or 5070 Ti for My Ultrawide 2K Setup?

I'm upgrading my PC with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D and I'm stuck between choosing an RTX 5070 for $700 or the 5070 Ti for $1,050. I have an Acer XZ342CK ultrawide monitor (3440x1440) and I'm looking for solid long-term performance at high settings. Is the RTX 5070 sufficient, or is the extra $350 for the 5070 Ti worth it for better future-proofing? Here's my current setup: i5-9600K, RX 5700 XT, and 32 GB DDR4-3600 with a SeaSonic FOCUS GX 850 W power supply.

If you can afford the 5070 Ti, I’d say go for it! The extra VRAM really helps with performance, especially at higher resolutions. I had a similar experience with a 4070 Ti at 3440x1440, and I noticed a significant difference when I switched to the 5070 Ti.

How big of a difference did you notice in performance?

If you’re thinking about future proofing, the 5070 Ti is definitely the way to go, especially with VRAM being a big deal in gaming now. But if you don't mind missing out on some of that extra performance, the 5070 will still get the job done for a while. It's a tough call on the price, though. NVIDIA cards are usually pretty reliable with drivers, so that's a plus too.

What do you think about how the 5070 non Ti performs on a 2K ultrawide monitor these days? Is it good enough?
