I'm really frustrated with the notifications I get when I open my AirPods case. Every time I do, my iPad, my iPhone, and even my wife's iPad keep displaying this animated dialog saying "Porkchop's AirPods". My wife's device even says "Unknown AirPods"! I know it's my AirPods, so I want to turn off these annoying alerts. I've tried Googling for solutions, but I only find settings for turning off spoken notifications. Does anyone know how to stop these pop-ups?

One simple fix is to just avoid opening the case near your devices. They trigger those notifications when the case is too close. So, if you can open it a little further away, that should help!
Another option is to unpair and re-pair your AirPods. Sometimes rebooting the connection can help with these notifications. But just a heads up, some people have said that this doesn't always work—might need to try a few times!
I did unpair and re-pair them, but I still saw the dialog box right after. It didn't help at all.

So, basically, I just shouldn't put my AirPods in while I'm using my device? Got it. But the alerts still pop up for my wife even when she’s a few feet away!
