What Are Some Payment Gateway Options for Developers in Lebanon?

Hey there! I'm a solo developer working on a web project that could potentially earn some money. However, I'm facing a challenge because I'm based in Lebanon, where major payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal aren't available. I've also looked into local options, but they only cater to established businesses, not individuals like me. I'm curious to know what possible solutions I might have. Is using crypto payments a viable route? Could I set it up so users can pay with regular money, which then gets converted into something like USDT, and later I could cash that out? I'm open to all suggestions—thank you in advance!

You might want to check out payment processors like Polar or Paddle. Just make sure they operate in Lebanon though! Lemon Squeezy could be another option to consider.

Definitely check out Paddle and Polar, they're getting good reviews!

Have you thought about using MontyPay, NetCommerce, or PayTabs? MontyPay seems promising, but they also might prioritize bigger businesses. It's worth following up on that!

I checked MontyPay, and they hinted that they mainly work with established companies. I'm going to look into the others now!

Given your circumstances, I think crypto (like USDT or USDC) is really one of the smoother solutions for solo devs starting out. A lot of developers in similar situations have found it to work quite well, as it's widely accepted. If you want to enhance your payment setup with simple OTP or SMS verifications, I’m working on BridgexAPI.io and there are some free testing options available! Happy to help if you need tips on how to integrate crypto payments effectively.

Honestly, crypto might not be the best option. From what I hear, very few people have crypto accounts, which could limit your customer base.

In order to receive payments, setting up a registered business might be necessary. You might want to explore how other companies in Lebanon manage their setups or what legal frameworks they utilize.
