How can I remove ‘.mp3’ from song titles in my audio player?

Hey everyone! I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of the '.mp3' that keeps showing up in the song titles of my audio player. I've already removed it from the file name itself—like when I look in my file explorer, a track like 'Moog City.mp3' just shows up as 'Moog City.' However, the audio player still displays '.mp3' in the song titles. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks a bunch! 🙂

It really depends on which audio player you’re using. Most should automatically hide the file extension, but some might not. Can you tell us the name of your player?

I’m using the Mechen M30!

If you right-click the file and check its properties, you should be able to find a field for Album or Song title. Sometimes the extension is still listed there, and you can remove it from that section.

Yes, under 'properties' in the 'details' tab, it still shows '.mp3' next to the song title. Is there a way to remove that?
