I'm looking for a strong AM4 CPU that can compete with the 5700X3D and 5800X3D in gaming and work applications, but without the hefty price tags—those are around 690€ and 590€, which is way too much for me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to consider the 5800XT or even the 5900X/XT. They're solid CPUs that offer great performance for both gaming and productivity without breaking the bank. If you're open to it, the 5950XT could be another option too, although it's pricier.
Totally agree! Those CPUs are great alternatives if you're not going for the X3D variants.
