I'm looking to upgrade my setup soon, especially with the upcoming tariffs, and I'm really interested in getting an OLED monitor because I value high contrast and quick pixel response. However, I work from home for a good chunk of the day and do a lot of general browsing, averaging around 14 hours of screen time daily. I'm concerned about the potential for burn-in from static images. Is getting an OLED monitor a wise choice for someone like me? If not, should I just plan to replace an OLED in a few years, or should I opt for a more expensive mini-LED? I don't want to go back to VA panels since I've had bad experiences with them due to smearing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I was in the same situation and ended up buying an OLED. I work a lot with the same program borders on the screen, and I definitely noticed some potential for burn-in. It's been great for gaming, but I wish I had gone for a mini-LED instead to consolidate my workspace. I have a mini-LED TV that I’m happy with, so I think I’ll make that choice next time!
I get that! I've been wanting a separate workstation for better mental balance but space is tight.
