Help! My game won’t launch due to a driver issue

I'm having trouble getting my games to launch—specifically, Apex Legends and Sea of Thieves. Whenever I try, I get an error message stating that the driver located at C:WindowsSystem32driversNGCx641618070.008SYMEFASI64.SYS is loaded but its file is missing. I've tried rebooting my laptop, which is a Katana 15 HX B14W with a GEFORCE RTX graphics card, but I still can't figure out what's wrong. Can anyone help me fix this?

It sounds like the issue is related to your Norton or Symantec antivirus software. The error message indicates that a driver from that software is causing a conflict with your game's anti-cheat system, or it might be corrupted.

Here's what you can do:
1. **Uninstall Norton/Symantec using their removal tool:** Go to the official Norton website and download their removal tool. Run it and follow the prompts to completely uninstall the software, and then restart your computer.
2. **Verify game files:** After uninstalling the antivirus, make sure to check your game files for any issues. For Steam, right-click the game in your library, go to Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. For the Epic Games Launcher, find the game, click the three dots, and select Verify Files.
3. **Run System File Checker:** Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type `sfc /scannow`, then hit Enter. Once done, run `chkdsk C: /f` to check your disk (replace C: with your installation drive if different).

After following these steps, try launching your games again, and hopefully, it will work!
