I bought a budget gaming PC from Amazon at the end of last year for around £250. Right now, it's struggling with games like DOTA2 and Apex Legends, especially when there's a lot happening on screen. I'm looking to upgrade my hardware with a budget of £200-£300. Currently, I have 16GB of DDR3 RAM (2x8GB) and I don't have any free RAM slots. Should I replace the RAM, or is it better to focus on upgrading the graphics card? Any advice on which components would provide the best performance boost? Thanks!

To put it bluntly, that system is pretty outdated. Spending money on it might not be a good idea, considering the CPU is from 2012 and the GPU is from 2014. You might want to save your money and invest in new tech instead.
Honestly, you might be better off looking for second-hand parts and upgrading to a DDR4 compatible system. The older parts tend to be cheaper and could offer a significant boost to your performance without burning a hole in your wallet.

Thanks for your input!
