I'm looking to use my Apple EarPods as a headset with both audio and microphone capabilities through a regular 3.5mm headphone jack. However, I've read that I might need a USB to 3.5mm adapter, and I'm trying to avoid that. Is there a way to make this work without purchasing additional adapters? Thanks for any help!

Have you tried just plugging your EarPods into the jack? Lots of laptop and computer ports can recognize headset inputs, which should include mic support too. Give it a shot and see if it works!
I did plug them in, but it seems that on Windows, they don't function as a proper headset.
