Hey everyone! I recently experienced a problem with my SSD, which has stopped working after less than two years of use. I'm running Windows, and it won't boot up. The drive is going into read-only mode, and I can't format it at all. I had a 2TB XPG S70 BLADE, and I thought it was a good quality brand. I've contacted customer service for a replacement and am waiting for a response. I'm not very tech-savvy and would like to know what might have caused this failure and how I can avoid it in the future, if that's possible. Thanks for any insights!

I did some quick research on your SSD, and it seems that they can be hit or miss. Plus, ADATA's customer service isn't the best. You might want to look into a more dependable brand next time. It can be tempting to save money, but cheaper drives can lead to more problems and potential data loss.
Keep in mind that SSDs can fail due to a variety of factors, including how much they're used and other environmental conditions. I've had several SSDs replaced over the years, and it usually isn't an issue with warranty coverage.
Thanks! I feel lucky to have the warranty since SSD prices are through the roof here in Brazil.
SSDs wear out over time because of writes and environmental factors. If you're looking for good value, you might want to check out the MOVESPEED brand. As for your current issue, it would be wise to back up everything regularly if possible to an external SSD using an M.2 to USB A/C adapter, just in case.
It’s likely hardware failure and not something you could have controlled. Sometimes, these things just happen. For future purchases, consider opting for a more reliable brand.
Thanks for weighing in! I'm not super knowledgeable about this stuff, so I was worried I might have done something wrong. I just hope the replacement process goes smoothly.
Honestly, I've had bad experiences with ADATA products—I've sworn them off. When it comes to reliability, I've learned the hard way not to trust certain brands.
Wow, that’s disappointing to hear. I truly thought they were a good choice.

I thought it was a solid brand when I got it. Prices in Brazil are crazy right now, and replacing it is going to cost a fortune. I'm just hoping they sort the replacement out for me!
