Having Trouble Installing Linux Mint on My Dell Laptop

I'm trying to install Linux Mint on my Dell laptop, but I'm hitting a wall. I've tried multiple USB drives, thinking the first one was faulty, but my new drive also doesn't appear in the boot menu. I switched from using Rufus to Ventoy for the flashing process, but that didn't help either. I even checked the installation files to see if they were corrupted, and everything seems fine. Any tips on what to do next?

So, it sounds like you might need to check a few things. First off, can you confirm what happens when you boot from the USB? Did you turn off things like secure boot and fast boot in the BIOS settings? Also, mentioning your laptop model could help others give more specific advice.

Hey! Just to clarify, are you going for a clean install or trying to set up a dual boot? If you're seeing an 'invalid magic number' error, it might mean there's an issue with the bootable USB or the way it was created. Have you double-checked the integrity of the ISO file?
