Can I Add More Songs to a CD I’ve Already Burned?

A while back, I burned some music onto a CD, but it's only half full. I'm wondering if I can burn the CD again to add a few more songs or if I need to start over with a new disc. Any advice?

Honestly, just grab some more blank CDs. They're super cheap, and I've got heaps lying around that I don’t even use. Starting fresh might save you some headaches.

If the CD was finalized for standard players, then no, you can’t add more songs. But if it’s a re-writable CD, just pop it back in and burn what you need.

Why not give it a try? Worst case, it errors out, but you might be able to add more if it’s not finalized.

You can only add more songs if it’s a re-writable disc. Most standard CDs get closed after the first burn, so make sure to check if yours is a CD-RW. Otherwise, you might have to start fresh with a new CD.

Best bet is to use a CD-RW; those can be erased and reused. If it's a CD-R, you’ll need to start with a new one. Don’t forget about MP3 CDs if your car supports them!
