Stuck with iCloud Activation Lock on My iPhone, What Can I Do?

About a month ago, I set up a new iCloud account on my iPhone. Last week, I decided to reset my phone to its factory settings but couldn't remember the password for the iCloud account. Now, iCloud is locked after too many attempts and I don't have access to the phone I used to create the account. Luckily, I finally remember the password, but iCloud still asks for the original phone, which I can't access, and I also don't recall the associated phone numbers. What steps can I take to restore my iPhone and bypass this situation?

Unfortunately, you're in a bit of a tough spot because Apple uses the Activation Lock as a security measure. To access your iPhone again, the best option is to contact Apple Support and provide them with proof of purchase. If you don’t have the receipt but still have the original box, mention that when you contact them, as it may help your case.

Yeah, without the receipt, this can be a hassle. Contacting Apple is definitely a must. They might be able to help you if you can provide any other identifying information about the device. Good luck!
