I'm looking for a way to control my gaming PC remotely from the living room, which is quite far from my gaming setup on the other side of the house. I can easily cast the screen to the TV, but I don't want to deal with long cables for my mouse and keyboard. Is there a practical solution to wirelessly control my PC at this distance, especially since typical wireless receivers can't reach through walls? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I've been using Steam Link on my TV, and it works pretty well for gaming. Just connect a controller to the TV. It can be a bit laggy, but if you stick to games that aren't super fast-paced, it's a lot of fun!
Using a Chromecast with Google TV is a solid choice. You can install the Moonlight app there and pair it with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. It's a neat setup for casual gaming!
If you're gaming, consider using an ethernet KVM extender to set up your TV, then just plug in the wireless dongle for your keyboard and mouse. This way, you can have a reliable connection without wires running all over the place.
One option is to use a small laptop, like a Chromebook, and connect to your PC using remote desktop software. Tools like VNC are free and can work well, especially if both devices are running the same OS. I do this with an old MacBook that controls my media server in another room. Just keep in mind this might not be the best for gaming due to the potential lag.
