How can I listen to music in mono if I’m deaf in one ear?

Hey everyone! I'm deaf in my left ear, which makes it difficult to enjoy music with headphones since I miss out on a lot of sounds that are only coming from that side. Is there a way to force all audio channels to play in just one ear or to switch everything to mono so that I can hear all the sounds clearly in my right ear? I'm using either Android or Windows. Any help would be super appreciated!

If you're on Windows, it actually has a built-in option for mono audio. You can find it in the Sound Settings menu under accessibility options. Just enable that, and you should be good to go!

That's awesome they've made that easier! I remember when they first introduced it.

Oh nice, I didn't know that! Have you tried any apps for Android that might help with this too?

Hey, fellow left-ear-deaf friend! I get it, it's tough sometimes. I’ve not found this too frustrating for music, but movies can be rough since stereo sounds can really throw you off. I miss being able to pinpoint audio direction—like when I was able to locate my phone's sound just by turning toward it. It's a challenge, but adapting is key!

I totally relate! Got to keep working on those adaptations, right?

It's definitely a different experience when dealing with audio. I sometimes feel disoriented too!

For Android users, just type 'mono' in the settings search bar. You should find the mono audio option there and can toggle it on easily! It's pretty straightforward.
