How can I delete thousands of emails from a blocked sender on an iPad Pro?

I use an iPad Pro and someone has sent me thousands of unwanted emails. They appear in my regular inbox rather than the junk folder, so I blocked the sender, but the existing messages are still there. I want to remove all of them without having to delete each email individually. What is the easiest way to select and delete a large batch of messages in the iPad email app?

Blocking the sender usually prevents future messages from reaching your inbox, but it does not automatically remove emails that already arrived. You’ll need to select and delete the existing messages from the folder where they’re currently stored. Since they aren’t in junk, check the inbox or another regular mail folder.

Open the folder containing the messages, tap Edit or Select, choose the emails from that sender, and then tap the trash icon. If your mail provider offers a search bar, search for the sender first so you can select only those messages and delete them in bulk.

I’m using an iPad Pro and wasn’t sure how to select a large group of messages at once. I’ll try searching for the sender and using the selection option.
