I bought an HP OmniBook only three days ago, and the cursor keeps showing a flickering blue loading circle even though nothing appears to be happening. The only temporary fix so far has been performing a factory reset. I checked Task Manager, but nothing unusual seems to be running or stuck. Has anyone experienced this, and is there a reliable way to fix it?

You can try opening Device Manager, uninstalling the device or driver related to the cursor or touchpad, and restarting the laptop. Windows should reinstall the driver automatically on boot.
Since the computer is brand new and the problem returns after a reset, it may be a hardware or factory-installation fault. Contact HP support or the retailer while it’s still covered by the return or warranty period.
Start by checking for driver and system updates through HP Support Assistant, since a new laptop may have outdated or incorrectly installed drivers.
I tried updating everything through HP Support Assistant, but unfortunately it didn’t make any difference.
I was hoping to avoid sending it back, but contacting HP may be my only option now.
