Someone keeps sending Instagram security codes to my phone number even though I have two-factor authentication enabled. The messages appear to come from Instagram's legitimate SMS number, not a random sender. Is there a way to stop the codes or determine whether someone is trying to access my account?

Since the texts are coming from Instagram’s genuine service number, blocking a random sender probably won’t help. Don’t use or share any of the codes, and check Instagram’s login activity and account-security settings for unfamiliar devices. If the messages continue, report the issue through Instagram’s built-in help or support options.
It may simply be that another person entered your number while setting up two-factor authentication or trying to recover their account. If the codes are going to your phone and you don’t share them, they shouldn’t be able to complete the login. The messages may stop once they realize they entered the wrong number.
