My laptop, an Acer Nitro V15 with 1 TB of storage and an RTX 4090, has been unexpectedly going into sleep mode while I'm gaming, watching videos, or drawing. It doesn't show a blue screen or fully shut down; the display simply turns off and it takes about a minute before I can wake it again. This has happened since I bought it less than a year ago. I already tried disabling hibernation, but that didn't help. What should I check next?

Since this has happened from the beginning and there are no obvious crash symptoms, it could be a hardware or power-management issue rather than hibernation. Make sure Windows, BIOS, and the laptop’s chipset and graphics drivers are fully updated. Also check the power settings and event logs around the time it happens for sleep, thermal, or unexpected power events.
A clean Windows installation can help rule out corrupted drivers or software conflicts. You don’t need to randomly uninstall programs first—back up your files, reinstall Windows, and install only the official drivers and essential utilities. If it still happens afterward, the laptop is probably defective and should be repaired or replaced under warranty.
