For about the past two weeks, deleted messages have been reappearing in my Gmail inbox. I regularly clear out marketing emails and other unwanted messages, but they often return a few hours later. Sometimes I have to delete the same messages two or three times before they finally stay gone. This happens on different computers, so it does not seem limited to one browser or device. Has anyone else noticed unusually slow or delayed Gmail behavior recently?

This has happened to me too. In the past, closing the browser right after deleting messages would produce a warning that changes were still being saved, but recently that warning can remain for several minutes. I’ve started waiting a little longer after making changes before closing the tab.
I’ve been seeing the same thing. Gmail seems slower than usual, and waiting until the deletion confirmation or notification finishes disappearing before navigating away appears to help. It may be a delayed server sync rather than the messages actually being restored.
I noticed the same behavior recently and had to remove identical messages several times during the day. Since it happens across multiple computers, it sounds more like a temporary Gmail-side delay or synchronization problem than an issue with one particular PC.
That could explain it. I’ve sometimes closed the tab while the save warning was still showing, so I’ll try waiting until Gmail finishes processing the changes.
