I manage multiple buildings for our business and recently discovered that we're paying for extra phone lines that I wasn't aware of. These lines come from Brightspeed and are causing issues because they have a loud hum when folks call in. When I searched for our business, I noticed the wrong Brightspeed number shows up instead of the one I'm familiar with. I'm looking to change the phone number that appears in Google search results to the correct one as we're now using i3 Broadband for all our calls. What's the easiest and quickest way to do this? Are there any costs involved?

If this is linked to a Google Business profile, find who’s managing it for a straightforward phone number change. If no one's managing it, you'll have to verify ownership first, which is still pretty quick with a few extra steps.
If this is a Google Maps listing, just send me the link along with the new number. I can help update it for you! If it shows up in search results linked to your website, update your phone number there and request a re-index via Google Search Console.
Honestly, you might not get to speak to an actual person at Google. Their robot support could potentially assist you, but they don't seem to care much about individual requests. Just a heads-up!
While you're getting the Google results updated, consider porting those Brightspeed numbers to your current provider. This way, you keep some continuity since people might still have that number saved or find it elsewhere.
You can create a Google Business account to manage your info. Once that's set up, you should be able to update your address and phone number on Google Maps for your location.

Oh gotcha, thanks for clarifying!
