I'm planning a new PC to handle gaming, streaming, software development, video editing, and general media use. My current system has an RTX 3080 and Ryzen 7 5800X, and I'm considering the build in the linked parts list as an upgrade. Does the configuration look balanced, or are there components I should replace, downgrade, or upgrade? I'm also interested in whether the CPU and graphics card choices offer good value for the money.

The only major change I’d consider is replacing the Ryzen 7 9800X3D with the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, assuming the price difference is reasonable. Otherwise, the parts look well matched and should make for a very capable all-purpose system.
The faster CPU is a relatively minor upgrade, so whether it’s worth paying extra depends on the price gap and how much you care about maximizing gaming performance. For development, editing, streaming, and general use, the 9800X3D should already be plenty fast.
If you’re working with game development and video editing projects, keeping the larger RAM and storage setup makes sense. Those workloads can use a lot of memory and disk space, so cutting back just to save money may become frustrating later.
The build looks solid overall. You could save some money by dropping to 32 GB of RAM if your editing and development workloads don’t require more. It may also be worth comparing prices on different RTX 5080 models, since the performance differences are usually small and mostly come down to cooling, noise, and factory tuning. Only reconsider the 6 TB of storage if you don’t actually need that much capacity.
That’s what I was thinking. I’m already close to filling 4 TB in my current system, so I definitely need the extra storage.
