I'm considering building a system with a Ryzen 9 9900X3D and 192-256GB of RAM to pair with a 4090 GPU. My goal is to use the GPU to run AI models and manage loads in and out of VRAM, while also having the option to switch to CPU mode with the 9900X3D when necessary. I'm looking to use the X870E Taichi motherboard from ASRock. What are your thoughts on this setup? I'm also planning on adding a second GPU later, one to handle gaming and the other for local AI Agents in games. Right now, I have an i9-10850K with a Z490-E ASUS Strix and 32GB of RAM, but it struggles with running models. My main concern is how this new combination will perform with additional RAM since the QVL only supports up to 128GB on 2 sticks, and I'm looking at 4x48GB or 4x64GB configurations.

Be cautious with ASRock motherboards; some models have a bad reputation for damaging AMD CPUs. Plus, running 4 sticks of RAM can be hit or miss with AMD. Just a heads up!
