Hey everyone! I just bought an Asus Prime 5070 Ti GPU due to the recent price drop, and I'm working on putting together my dream PC. This will be my second PC build, so I'm excited but a little nervous too. I've picked out the rest of my parts and would really appreciate your feedback on their compatibility and any suggestions for alternative parts that might be cheaper or perform better. Here's what I've chosen so far:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
- Cooler: NZXT Kraken Elite 360 RGB (2024) 75.12 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
- Motherboard: ASRock X870 Pro RS ATX AM5
- RAM: Silicon Power XPOWER Zenith RGB Gaming 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
- Storage: Silicon Power UD90 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD
- GPU: Asus PRIME GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB
- Case: Fractal Design North XL ATX Full Tower
- PSU: Corsair RM850 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular
Thanks a lot for any insights! This community has been super helpful so far 🙂

Hey, just a heads up on the cooler you're considering. The Thermalright Vision AIOs are often cheaper and deliver great performance, plus they come with a display too! Also, your PSU (the RM850) doesn't come with the new 12vhpwr cable your GPU needs. You might want to look at options like the MSI MAG A850GL or the Lian Li Edge Gold, which do include that cable.
Good point about the PSU! I keep hearing from others that most issues with those connections burning out stem from using adapters. If you're going with that GPU, grabbing a PSU that supports it directly is definitely the way to go.
