Advice on Building My First PC: What Parts Should I Keep?

Hey everyone! I'm new to PC building and looking for some guidance on what parts to keep from my current setup. I currently have an Aurora R12 with an RTX 3060, 1TB NVMe SSD, 4 sticks of 16GB DDR4 RAM, Windows 11, and an Intel Core i9 11900F (11th Gen). I play at 1440p 144Hz and I'm thinking of upgrading to a 5070 Ti or a similar GPU. I'm also looking for a 4TB NVMe and want to bump my RAM up to 32GB. I'm located in the USA, my budget is under $3k, and I'm willing to wait for sales on parts. Any advice would be appreciated, especially on what I can keep to save some money!

Honestly, with your budget, I'd suggest keeping the 1TB NVMe drive, as it's cost-effective to upgrade to a larger one later. The rest of your components are pretty powerful but consider building a brand-new PC if you're aiming for a 5070 Ti and more RAM; that might serve you better in the long run.

Good point! The NVMe upgrade seems straightforward, but I'm hesitant about starting from scratch. How much do you think I’d need to spend for a solid build?

If you're set on the 5070 Ti, I'd recommend basically starting fresh. Prices for high-end CPUs and GPUs are pretty competitive now, and just swapping out your GPU and storage might not give you the performance boost you're looking for. Plus, your current setup's components might not synergize well with the new GPU. However, the 1TB NVMe could be a keeper!

Thanks! I appreciate the insight. I'll consider starting fresh then!
